1874 Christmas party 2017

Last Saturday around 80 supporters and guests attended this years club Christmas party.

Held once again at Winnington Rec club, we were treated to an excellent 3 course meal in the company of good friends.

During the night we held a very special raffle for a gorgeous Teddy Bear.
The Bear had been donated by Paul, our chairman, and had been part of his family for a number of years. However the time had come to pass the Bear onto someone else who would continue to love and cherish it for years to come.
We had the pleasure in organising this raffle in aid of our charity partner St Luke’s ( Cheshire ) Hospice, an incredible charity that will no doubt touch us all in some way during our life time.
Whether it be personally or via someone close us, they really do a fantastic job at a very important time in our lives.
On the night our magnificent supporters raised a total of £400. Every penny of which will go to the hospice. The raffle was won by our treasurer John, and he and Maggie have passed the Teddy Bear onto a young lady named Chloe, who will ensure that he is well looked after and given plenty of hugs.

Also on the night, Toddy held one of his infamous raffles raising funds for the club and also the latest Silver members raffle. This quarterly raffle held to thank our Silver members was won by Doreen Ashley.

Our thanks to Toddy and the Social & Fundraising committee for once again organising a great club social occasion.
