1874 Northwich are excited to announce the signing of left back Owen Harrison from Kidsgrove Athletic.
The 21-year-old has been a regular feature in the NPL West Division outfits side over the last two seasons.
Over 30 appearances under his belt at Step 4 for Kidsgrove, Owen brings youth but also experience to our side.
Speaking about Owen’s arrival at ‘74, manager Chris Herbert said, “He has real potential and quality, he is at the age now where we want to make him progress and take us to the next level as well as himself”.
Herbert also added “He has bought in to our plans and it gives us great options now down the left hand side.”
“At only 21 he has a great future ahead of him and if he stays focused and keeps the attitude he has to win”.
Owen had the following to say about joining our club: “I was shocked when I had a call from the gaffer (Chris), his plans and vision for the club intrigued me further and I wanted to be a part of this new challenge”.
“I’m really looking forward to being a part of a great club, I saw it last season whilst playing against ‘74 the fans are very passionate and are our 12th man”.
Owen is not a stranger to some members of the current squad, featuring with Eden Bailey at Port Vale and Josh Oultram at Kidsgrove earlier this season and he spoke highly of them “It was a huge influence to have known friends here and they have highly recommended how good this team is and how its progressing!”
He added finally “I’m up for the challenge to get the club back to where it belongs and hopefully we can give something back to the loyal fans.”
