The board of 1874 NORTHWICH FC are pleased to advise all members, supporters and followers that the FA have reviewed our application to join the North West Counties League and have allocated us in to the leagues first division at non league step six.

Speaking this morning, chairman Paul Stockton said that he was absolutely delighted and at the same time relieved to hear this fantastic news. He also added that, on behalf of the board and supporters, he wished to acknowledge and thank representatives from both the Cheshire FA and the North West Counties Football League for all their support – particularly at the meeting last month at St Georges Park, Burton with the FA.

Of course, this fantastic news has to be ratified by the NWCL and its member clubs at their AGM next month but we feel sure that we will be made very welcome and whilst we may have a celebratory drink this evening we know only too well just how much more work is now necessary to be:

“UP AND RUNNING” in time for our FIRST season in 2013/2014
