Grandad Ready to Make his Mark

1874 Northwich are excited to confirm that head coach, Mark Reed, will continue in his playing role ahead of the new campaign.

‘Reedy’, now 44, first joined the club at the start of the 2024 pre-season campaign, before later registering and making his playing debut in our 3-1 Emirates FA Cup victory over Longridge Town.

Mark went on to make 19 competitive appearances, scoring three times – including a crucial brace to seal our comeback victory away to Tividale.

Mark enjoyed an illustrious non-league playing career, featuring for Chester, Cammel Laird, Vauxhall Motors, Runcorn Linnets, Runcorn Town, Glossop North End and Buxton. The last of which he remains record goal scorer: finding the net 251 times.

Here’s to more of the same, Reedy!
