A few important club updates

An update for our supporters

November Player of the month
1874 supporters may have realised by now that the Club has not asked everyone to nominated their Player of the Month for November. Following a slightly quieter month, where we only played four games, it was decided that it would be better to roll the vote over and combine it with performances in December. Therefore, please keep your November favourite in mind and at the beginning of January, we will ask you to choose for the two months.

Friendly announced
We are very pleased to announce that we have agreed to play a friendly at Sandbach United on Wednesday 21 December, kick off is 7.30pm. Admission is £3 for adults. Sandbach United are having an excellent season so far, currently sitting sixth in their inaugural campaign in the First Division therefore the game will give our squad another stern test. Whilst we have previously played a couple of friendly games at the Sandbach Community Football Centre, this will be the first under their brand-new lights so it will once again, be good to see as many supporters there as possible. You are sure of a very warm welcome from our fellow Cheshire friends.

1874 family is growing
Finally, in breaking news this week, the Club is delighted to advise that plans are being drawn up for another team to wear the green and black. An 1874 Northwich Veterans team (over 35’s) will be in place and ready to play some games from Spring 2017 and then will participate in a League from Autumn 2017. The Club is working with Cheshire FA to affiliate the team and secure funding. We are pleased that there has been a very positive response so far to the plans and we understand that some very talented individuals are looking forward to playing for the team. This also helps us to expand the 1874 name in the community, which is obviously a big priority for us. More information will follow in the coming weeks.
