In last week’s Newsletter we said “It should be a good night”

WELL IT WAS A GOOD NIGHT!

Your club received many “pats on the back” from supporters at the event and obviously this is appreciated. The event takes a good deal of arranging but the end result was certainly worth all the effort as everyone enjoyed the evening.
This e-mail was received afterwards:
On behalf of Andy Oakes & Chris Barnes and myself, I would like to thank all involved in organizing the presentation evening. A really well organized do, the food was excellent the entertainment excellent and the company were excellent again. Such a pleasure to be feeling part of a football club like ours. Congratulations to all the award winners. To Ian Street I would like to say a big thank you for putting together such an excellent team all winners in my view. I would also like to thank Homer Simpson as he was my choice on the card and I won the whisky and shirt.
Regards, Frank Oakes
Every picture tells a story
There were smiling faces on every table and this delighted the club immensely.

A request from Molly Darlington – our ace photographer
“I entered a competition last month to win the chance to photograph behind the scenes at the FA cup final at Wembley. Today I found out I have reached the final 3. Basically to win now I have to get the most likes on my photo on the Wembley stadium Instagram page, if possible could you please share this link and get anyone you know with Instagram to like this photo! https://instagram.com/p/2oJ563ySQk/ Thanks a lot!” Molly

Other presentations were made on the night as Chairman Paul Stockton presented flowers to Janet Street; Nora Edge, Molly Darlington and Vicki England. All four ladies were delighted and later, Nora even took to photographing hers!

The draw made a profit of £1,024, which was a great result given the short timescale to sell tickets and the gap after the end of the season.
Thanks to all who bought tickets and particularly to those supporters who made the effort to sell tickets to others as well.
All of the profit will go to support the activities of 1874 – it really makes a difference to your Club. – Guy Jewell

The day after the Presentation Evening was FA Vase Final day

And 1874 Northwich FC were represented:
1874’s day out at Wembley Stadium

“Going to watch a game of football at Wembley Stadium should always be a grand day out no matter who you watch or support and & that’s exactly what is was last Saturday
Before the game we went to a Weatherspoons located just outside Wembley Stadium and as you do, we had a few pints and some scram. I was talking to fans from both Glossop and North Shields – understandably they all seemed nervous but of course excited to be there.

I also spoke to father and son who were supporters of Bootle FC and then some lads from Horsham FC.

This was my second time visiting the new Wembley but it was the first time for my partner -Gem – who really enjoyed the day out. Dare I say more than I did!? Before the game, Gem took a photograph of some of the 1874 Northwich fans in front of the statue of the legendary Bobby Moore.

I thought the game was fantastic with both sides scoring but of course; Glossop lost 2-1 in extra time. An excellent crowd of 9,674 seemed to be singing throughout the whole game and this all made the game more memorable for Gem and me.

Let’s hope it’s our turn next season to be at this magnificent stadium you never know.
