No.166 18/12/2015

Welcome to Greg Hall

We are pleased to welcome Greg to our squad. Greg was previously with Glossop North End and, of course, played in goal at Wembley in the 2014/15 FA Vase Final.

Ideally our welcome for Greg would have been at the Barton Stadium last Saturday but the weather forced the game to be postponed.

He has previously been the Goalkeeper of the Year on two occasions in the North West Counties League and Manager, Ian Street, is convinced that Greg will strengthen our team.
Weather permitting, Greg will make his debut for 1874 at Bootle on Saturday and he is sure to receive a warm welcome from 1874 supporters.

Thanks Matt

Everyone at 1874 would like to thank Matt Conkie for his time at the club. Matt has been a real character, he is a fine keeper, committed to always doing his best and was the first 1874 player to make 100 appearances for the club – a record that we know he is proud of. We wish him all the best in the future.

Have you seen our new Christmas window display down in the Northwich Precinct?

by Steve Richardson
On Tuesday morning volunteers from the Community team spent a few hours decorating an empty shop unit. It’s our way of saying Happy Christmas to all the good folk of Northwich, and hopefully at the same time it will help spread the name of 1874 Northwich a little wider.

When it comes to promoting our great football club, we are not ” monkeying ” around.
