Of course here at 1874 we do not only raise money to finance our Football Club we also raise funds for local charities and next weekend members of #team74 cycle for charity in the Northwich Pedal Power event.

They are raising funds for our charity partner Neuro Muscular Centre and as our year of association with NMC draws to a close, we are aiming to finish the year on a high. Can you help. Donations can STILL be made at www.Justgiving.com/1874-Northwich-FC-Community-team  Thank You

1874 Cricket XI to play at Davenham CC again – by Gary Halverson

The annual friendly cricket match between Davenham Cricket Club and 1874 Northwich FC has been arranged for Sunday 19 June 2016.   The venue will be at Davenham Cricket Club with the match starting at 1 p.m.   Mr Eddie Phillips has very kindly agreed to sponsor the match and to provide a trophy. The address for Davenham Cricket club is Butchers Stile, Harford Road, Davenham CW9 8JG.

The club would like to encourage its club members and supporters to attend this social event and give support to the team.  Mike Brandon and Jack Woolley have agreed to be part of the 1874 team.

This is the second time that this challenge match between the two clubs has been held.   The first match was held last year and proved to be an enjoyable day for both the team and our supporters.  There will be a BBQ up and running and Davenham Cricket Club serve excellent real ale beers (as well as many other alcohol and non-alcohol drinks)
The following Sunday 26 June 2016 has been held in reserve in case the weather is too inclement on the 19th June, but hopefully this will not be the case and that it will be a warm and sunny day on the 19th June.

We are in the process of selecting a team to represent 1874 Northwich.  If anybody connected with 1874 Northwich would be interested in playing cricket for the team, please can they contact the club and leave their contact details.

Finally, It’s so nice to get some good feedback:
