Nolan Signs Up for New Season

1874 Northwich are excited to announce that Lewis Nolan will remain at the club ahead of the new season.

Lewis, 19, joined the club on dual-registration with Runcorn Linnets at the tail end of March, strengthening our midfield options.

Before joining the Linnets, Lewis came through the ranks at Crewe Alexandra, where he made three senior appearances in the EFL Trophy and had a loan spell at Newcastle Town. At the later he featured against 1874 in our 1-0 home defeat.

Lewis commented on staying with the club:

“I’m really happy to be back here for the season. I knew as soon as the final ended last season that I wanted to be back here to go one further and I’m confident with the squad that we’re putting together that we can do that.”

“The fans are a really passionate and loud group and hopefully we can repay their support with good results and performances to achieve the promotion that this club deserve.”

“With last season being my first season in men’s football I thought it was a very good one. Unfortunately, not the way we all wanted it to end, but it’s made us more determined to be promoted next season.”

“The players, staff and definitely the fans made me feel so welcome and it helps a lot more than you realise. I’m ready and raring to get the new season started and ready to give everything for the club!”

“The team are ready to kick on again and hopefully have a better season.”

“To the fans, if we have the support like we did last season it gives us that edge on anyone in the league. It’s a long season, stick with us and together we will achieve this year! Up the 74”

Glad to keep you with us, Lewis!
