1874 Northwich U21 0-6 Hyde United U21
The newly formed U21 side took on the established Hyde United U21’s. This was their first friendly prior to the opening of the season in two weeks time. For the first 30 minutes 1874 held their own and scored first, only for the goal to be disallowed. However experience and fitness proved crucial over 90 minutes and Hyde ran out comfortable winners.
The game was held up for 30mins due to an injury to the Hyde keeper. An ambulance was called and he was taken to hospital but released later in the day.
Our next friendly is again at home this Sunday 16th against Southport U21’s which will no doubt prove to be an equally tough test for the lads.
