Family Fun day and Carboot sale.
As the on field season came to an end, the 1874 Community team were busy arranging once again to host the 2nd Carboot sale and Family Funday at the St Luke’s Barton Stadium.
Once more we were blessed with good weather and the crowds flooded in enjoying the healthy number of stalls and the numerous attractions.
The fairground rides, crazy golf, bouncy castle and other numerous side shows kept the visitors occupied, whilst at the same time the volunteers in the café ensured that the Burgers, Hot dogs and drinks kept everyone happy.
Throughout the afternoon our magnificent U7’s put on a display of their footballing skills and we were musically entertained once again by our friends from Ageless Ukes.
The Funday held at the Stadium is fast becoming an important part of the fundraising calendar for the hospice, this year the day will have benefited the hospice by well over £2000 and whilst our 2 year charity partnership with the hospice is coming to and end, as a club we have committed to continue our support of the Funday and will be offering our support and assistance in ensuring that it continues.
