1874 Northwich are pleased to announce that defender, Vinny Wright, has agreed to sign for the upcoming campaign.
Vinny, 18, recently graduated the Morecambe Academy where he played with fellow new signing Jack McKean. He was part of their record breaking U18 team last season.
Vinny can play anywhere in defence; he will be sure to add youth, athleticism and versatility to the team.
Vinny commented: “I am very excited to be signing and believe I can bring a positive impact to the team. I’m hoping that my signing will help bring more winning results for the team and I can also further my development as a player under the Gaffer, Steve Burr and Mark Reed.”
Chris added: “Vinny comes in with good pedigree, he was part of a very strong Morecambe team and when I’ve watched him always had lots of energy, good pace and technically was good, he suits the style of play we are looking for. He can play both full back roles as well as centre half. His versatility will be huge to us throughout the season. Vinny comes straight into the squad for the game at Airbus.”
