1874 Northwich FC manager Ian Street is delighted to announce an addition to the management side of the club with experienced Wayne Goodison joining to assist with the general running of the team.
Wayne, aged 51, is a former professional footballer with over 200 football league appearances at Barnsley, Crewe Alex and Rochdale.
After retiring from playing, Wayne dropped into the semi-pro ranks with managerial appointments at Chorley, Trafford, Salford and most recently Ramsbottom United FC.
Manager Ian Street said “I have known Wayne for a few years now and we have helped each other out regularly in the past, when Stu Tulloch had his unfortunate incident it was clear that myself and assistant Paul Bowyer needed to act quickly and luckily for us Wayne became available and didn’t need much persuasion to join us.
Looking forward, Stu will eventually get back involved in some capacity but it’s important at the moment that he concentrates on just getting better.
Wayne is an exceptional coach and will bring a lot of fresh ideas to us as we try to move to the next stage as a football club, speaking to him recently he said he is really looking forward to getting started and getting to know the club and players and finding out what 74 are all about”
