Matchday Supporter Guide | 1874 Northwich F.C.

Matchday Supporter Guide

We are delighted to have supporters back at 1874 Northwich FC.

It is important that supporters read the 1874 Northwich FC Risk Assessment document and follow all points pertaining to themselves.

Supporters who wish to attend 1874 Northwich FC home games should read and follow the following guidance in full.

Firstly, it is extremely important that you do not attend the match if you or anyone in your household have tested positive for or are showing any symptoms of Covid-19 (including a high temperature, new, continuous cough or a loss or change to smell or taste), or if you are required to undergo a period of self-isolation.

Be sure to follow the government and NHS guidance at all times, including local restrictions which apply to the North West of England.

LIMITED CAPACITY

We are permitted to welcome up to 300 supporters.

We request that supporters should use our online or text booking service to obtain matchday
tickets. Details of when tickets are available for purchase and how to purchase will be available on
the club website and will be advertised via the clubs social media channels.

ARRIVAL AT THE GROUND

All supporters will be subject to temperature checks prior to entering the stadium compound. Supporters who refuse a temperature check or are found to have a high temperature will regrettably be refused entry.

All supporters and visitors to Townfield will be required to wear a face covering upon entry to the ground ( unless exempt) and whilst moving around Townfield. Once supporters are in position (socially distanced or in family bubbles ) face coverings may be removed. However please reapply when you move.

Supporters must social distance at all times during their visit, including when queuing for entry to the ground.

Any supporters wishing to pay cash at the turnstile are requested to bring the correct change if possible to limit the need for our turnstile operator to handle cash.

After entering the ground, all supporters must sanitise their hands (hand sanitiser will be provided, though we recommend that you also bring your own).

TRACK AND TRACE

All supporters must comply with Track and Trace measures put in place by the club.

Where possible, supporters should download the NHS Covid-19 app on their phone to ‘check in’ by
scanning the QR codes located close to the turnstile. If this is not possible, supporters will
immediately be required to register their name and contact number. This will be used exclusively for
the purposes of the NHS Track and Trace programme, will be held securely for 21 days and
subsequently destroyed securely.

Please co-operate with the Club as this measure is in place for the safety of yourself and your fellow
visitors.

SOCIAL DISTANCING

Social distancing must be observed at all times during your visit. This applies to everyone in the ground, and the only exception is for the players on the pitch during the match.

All supporters must maintain a social distance. This must be applied with everyone except those in your household, or your “support bubble” for single adult households.

All supporters must also adhere to the rule of six. You must not attend the game in a group of larger than six people – it is now against the law to do so (unless you all live together or are in the same support bubble).

Please use standing space around all paved areas of the ground whilst watching the match to ensure you are adhering to this measure.

We will only have limited space for spectators under cover, so please check the weather before you visit. You may wish to consider wearing waterproof clothing and/or bringing an umbrella.

If you would like to sit down to watch the match, there will be limited space in the stand. A large number of seats will not be in use in order to maintain social distancing between all supporters using the stand.

A substantial section of the stand will not be in use for supporters as it will be used by home and away substitutes in order to ensure they can adhere to social distancing.

TOILET FACILITIES

Male and female toilet facilities will be available. However, both of these will be limited to two users
at any one time (who must maintain social distance).

This will be manned by a club volunteer at all times. Please be patient and co-operate with them.
Demand for the toilet is likely to be high at half-time, so consider using it at another time if possible.

Please also wash your hands for at least 20 seconds and/or sanitise your hands after using them.

CAFE/KITCHEN/BAR

The Cafe will be available for serving Hot Food and Drinks. Please follow the designated one way pathway, ensuring Social Distancing at all times.

Please sanitize hands on approach to the serving hatch and ensure that facemasks are worn at all times when making use of the facility.

The Bar will be available via the outside serving hatch. Please follow the designated one way pathway, ensuring Social Distancing at all times.

Please sanitize hands on approaching the serving hatch and ensure that facemasks are worn at all times when making use of the facility.

VACATING THE GROUND POST MATCH

Supporters are requested to stay in place at the end of the game until instructed by a club official.

The ground will be vacated in the following sequence :

  • Communal area in front of the Club House
  • Popular stand
  • Seated stand

Supporters should leave the ground in socially distanced manner and disperse as soon as possible.

OTHER INFORMATION TO BE AWARE OF

All supporters and visitors to the ground will be required to wear a face covering when moving around the ground, during arrival, and when vacating after the match. We also request that supporters make frequent use of the sanitiser available at the ground and are also advised to also bring their own.

Match balls, goalposts and corner flags will be regularly sanitised. We recommend that supporters
sanitise their hands immediately should they come into contact with a match ball.

The Club’s Covid-19 officer is Chairman Stephen Richardson

All Club committee members will be wearing either a club lanyard or a yellow high-visibility jacket.
They are there to make your visit as safe as possible – please speak to one of them should you have
any queries or problems. Club committee members also reserve the right to remove from the
premises visitors who persistently ignore the risk assessment and guidance, although it goes without saying that this is something we hope we don’t have to do.

Thank you for taking the time to read the above information. All these measures are in place with
your safety in mind, so please co-operate as best you can.
