As a community club, 1874 Northwich FC has had a long standing ambition to be able to offer football to children, of all ages and abilities, in the Northwich area. We started with a single squad in 2017, who played at U7 level in the Mid-Cheshire Youth Football league (MCYFL). We have watched this team grow and develop and are rightly proud of the two teams, Greens and Jets, who are now playing at U14 level, and include many children from that first squad.
We have been pleased to see additional age groups join the 1874 family and in 2024/25 we can now offer football at five Junior age groups – U10, U11, U13, U14 and U16. Our aim is to provide excellent coaching in a fun and safe environment.

Training – Wednesday evening 6 – 7pm (winter training at Sir John Deane’s)
There is one squad which plays two matches per weekend. The teams are 7 a-side and play after each other.
U11’s (school year 6)

There are two teams, Vipers and Cobras both play on a Saturday at 9.30am – 9 v 9 at Winsford Academy. .
Training Ground – Thursday evening – 2 G Pitch, The Grange School, Hartford
U13’s (school year 8)

Leagues – South Cheshire Youth League (SCYL)
The team are 1874 Northwich U13s.
They play in SCYL U13 league on a Sunday – 11 v 11 – home grounds – Sandbach Community Football Centre / Alsager Sports Hub 3G Intermediate
Training – Monday and Thursday at Winsford Academy – 6 – 7pm
U14’s (school year 9)
Mixed teams
League – MCYFL
There are two teams, Greens and Jets.
