As a community club, 1874 Northwich FC has had a long standing ambition to be able to offer football to children, of all ages and abilities, in the Northwich area. We started with a single squad in 2017, who played at U7 level in the Mid-Cheshire Youth Football league (MCYFL). We have watched this team grow and develop and are rightly proud of the two teams, Greens and Jets, who are now playing at U13 level, and include many children from that first squad.
We have been pleased to see additional age groups join the 1874 family and in 2023/24 we can now offer football at four Junior age groups – U9, U12, U13 and U15. Our aim is to provide excellent coaching in a fun and safe environment.

Home / training Ground – The Rudheath Senior Academy
Training – Wednesday evening 6 – 7pm (at Sir John Deane’s from Wednesday 11th October 2023)
There is one squad which plays two matches per weekend. The teams are 7 a-side and play after each other.
U12’s (school year 7)
Mixed teams
Leagues – South Cheshire Youth League (SCYL) and Junior Premier League (JPL)
There are two teams, Greens and Oranges.
Oranges play in SCYL U12 league on a Sunday – 9 v 9 – home grounds – Sandbach Community Football Centre / Alsager Sports Hub 3G Intermediate
Greens play in the JPL U12 league on a Saturday – 9 v 9 – home ground – Middlewich Leisure Centre
Greens also play in the SCYFL U13 league on a Sunday – 11 v 11 – home grounds – Sandbach Community Football Centre / Alsager Sports Hub 3G Intermediate
Training – Monday and Thursday at Winsford Academy – 6 – 7pm
U13’s (school year 8)

League – MCYFL
There are two teams, Greens and Jets, both play matches on a Sunday at the Rudheath Senior Academy – 11 v 11.
