Northwich based Matt is now 32 and along with his duties as 1874’s first-choice goal-keeper, he also doubles up as coach. A very agile stopper, Matt has been regarded as one of the best keepers in the North-West Counties League for many years. As a result, manager Ian Street was delighted when he agreed to join the club during the summer. Prior to joining 1874, Matt had turned out for Congleton, Winsford and Chester.
