Manager Ian Street

IAN STREET

Appointed as 1874’s first ever manager in March 2013. 49 year old Ian has an impressive pedigree and brings a massive amount of knowledge and experience to England’s newest football club.

Born and bred in Wigan, Ian started his career with his home-town club in the mid-eighties and went on to give great service for several North-west based sides including Chorley, Atherton LR, Bamber Bridge, Curzon Ashton and Horwich RMI. The latter club provided the highlight of his career when the un-fancied Lancashire outfit beat Conference high-fliers Weymouth to lift the GMAC Cup in 1988.

Since graduating to the side lines, ‘Streety’ has guided a number of clubs including Warrington Town and Atherton LR and was assistant manager at Witton Albion and Bamber Bridge. Most recently Ian was in charge at Winsford United where he guided the Barton Stadium outfit to victory in the North-West Counties Challenge Cup in 2011 and to high placed finishes in the premier league.
