Former player and brother of 1874 stalwart, Mark Jones, Lee spent three seasons at the club and made over 50 appearances in central midfield. Following the departure of co-managers Paul Bowyer and Wayne Goodison in November 2023, Lee joined the coaching staff to help his brother Mark and former captain Matt Woolley during the transition period between managers. After the appointment Damian Crossley, Lee stayed with the coaching staff and has continued to offer his experience to the club.
