Statement from the Board of 1874 Northwich FC

PRESS RELEASE

ISSUED BY THE BOARD OF 1874 NORTHWICH FC

1874 NORTHWICH v THATCHAM TOWN
FA VASE SEMI-FINAL 2nd LEG – SATURDAY 24th MARCH 2018 :KICK OFF 3.00PM

MATCH ARRANGEMENTS

As has been advertised, Witton Albion have again kindly offered to stage our FA Vase Semi-final 2nd Leg tie against Thatcham Town at Wincham Park on Saturday 24th March.

To aid our supporters and others who wish to attend the game, we thought it would be helpful to provide some detailed information regarding the match arrangements.

Tickets – This match will not be all-ticket.

However, in order to reduce delays on the day at the turnstiles, we will be selling tickets to both home and away supporters prior to the game at the ‘usual’ rates (i.e. £6 for adults, £4 for concessions and U16s Free). With the kind permission of Winsford United, we may have them on sale at our Macron cup tie at the Barton Stadium and certainly by the end of next week. They will also be available at our home game against Barnoldswick Town on Tuesday 20 March.

Tickets will also be available for sale from Level One computers and from 1.00pm in the Social club prior to the game.

All supporters can reserve a ticket via e-mail. The address you should use is [email protected] and the details that you need to include are your name, number of tickets required and whether adult, concession or U16. All you need then do is to collect and pay for them on the day. The collection and ticket sales point will be located in the Social Club.

Tickets will be available on a ‘first come, first served basis’ and there will be no upper limit on the number of tickets one individual may wish to purchase.

Car Parking – Supporters should park their vehicles in the designated car park which is situated at the Northwich ‘end’ of the ground. Car parking stewards will be on hand to help guide drivers to park in the most efficient pattern.

The car park that is situated directly behind the main stand is specifically reserved for the use of players and officials and should not be used by supporters. We would ask for your co-operation in this matter.

We do recognise that the demand for car-parking spaces on the day is likely to exceed the capacity around the ground. As a result, ‘displacement’ car-parking is likely to occur and may well lead to cars being parked on the adjoining road network.

Given this, we would ask all supporters to be considerate in where they park their vehicle so that the impact on local residents and businesses is kept to an absolute minimum.

Cheshire Police will be in attendance on the day and they may elect to take action against owners of vehicles that they believe to be causing an obstruction or contravening any parking restriction.

Social Club – The Social Club will be open from 12:30pm and we’d encourage all fans to show their appreciation to Witton for their kind gesture in offering to stage the game by using this facility.

In addition to the ‘usual’ selection of beers, lagers, spirits and soft drinks, the club usually stocks at least two well kept ales from the Tatton Brewery.

We would specifically bring your attention to the following.

• There will be no direct access from the ground into the Social Club – and vice versa – prior to kick off.
• Therefore, any supporters wishing to use the Social Club prior to kick-off will need to ensure that they give themselves sufficient time to gain access to the ground
• To this end, no alcoholic drinks will be served after 2.30pm
• The consumption of alcoholic drinks within the ground is strictly forbidden.
• Any person noted contravening this rule will be requested to surrender any alcohol they may have on their person. Failure to do so will result in them being asked to leave the stadium.
• There will be no access to the social club from the ground at Half-time.
• The Social Club will re-open 15-20 minutes after the end of the game.

It should be noted that the club retain the right to amend or alter any of the above conditions at any time and, in particular, on the advice of Cheshire Police.

Segregation – On the advice of Cheshire Police, segregation will be in operation. The arrangements regarding entry points for both sets of supporters are as follows;

1874 Northwich

As the home club, 1874 have been allocated both the ‘Wincham End’, the majority of ‘Popular Side’ terrace and the seated area of the main seated stand from the ‘Wincham End’ up-to the Press-box.

Entrance to these areas will be via the turnstiles at the ‘Wincham End’ of the stadium.

To minimise queues at the entrance into the ground, a separate turnstile will be available for those supporters who have purchased tickets prior to the day.

Dedicated food and drink and toilet facilities will be available for 1874 supporters ‘home’ supporters.

Thatcham Town

Our visitors have been allocated the covered terrace at the ‘car park’ or ‘Northwich End’ of the ground plus the seated area between this terrace and the Press-box.

Entrance to this will be via the dedicated turnstile at this end of the stadium. Separate toilet and food and drink outlets at this end of the stadium will be provided.

Match-day Control – In order to ensure that our home tie passes without incident and is enjoyed by all, additional stewarding will be provided. We would ask that everyone attending the game recognises that any advice and guidance given by the Stewards will be to ensure that everyone has an enjoyable, pleasant and safe experience in watching the match.

St John Ambulance will also be in attendance.

Programmes / 50/50 Draw Tickets / ‘Goalden Goal’ Tickets – These will be on sale as usual both in the Social Club and inside the ground.

Merchandise – A limited amount of merchandise will be available for sale in the Social club prior to kick-off. If any supporters wish to obtain any merchandise prior to the game, we would suggest that you contact Brian Edge as soon as possible with your requirements.

Extra-time / Penalties – If the aggregate score remains level at the end of 90 minutes, a further period of 30 minutes extra-time will be played. If the game is still tied at the end of 120 mins, the match will be decided by a penalty shoot-out.

Guests / Officials – Any guests or officials should report to the main entrance and they will be given a pass that will enable them to gain access to the Boardroom and the stadium.

Match-day Volunteers – All supporters who undertake voluntary duties on match days are asked to report at the ‘usual’ time.
