1874 swimming for charity

The Rotary Club of Northwich is staging its Annual Swimathon on 12th March.

We have entered a team in recent years and hopefully, we will be able to enter a team this year.

It is the same format as in previous years: teams can consist of up to 7 people and will swim for 55 minutes with just one member of the team in the pool at any time, apart from the “mad dash” in the last five minutes. Lengths swum will be recorded but it is not a competition, rather a fun event to raise money for charity.

The Rotary Club’s two nominated charities are: Cardiac Risk In The Young and Multiple Sclerosis Society, Vale Royal. However, half the money that we raise can go to our nominated charity: St Luke’s Hospice.

If you would consider joining the 1874 team or sponsoring any of our swimmers, please see John Coats, Stephen Richardson or any committee member.
