1874 Northwich are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Blake Robinson ahead of the club’s return to Step 4 football.
Robinson arrives from local rivals Winsford United and becomes another exciting addition to the squad as preparations continue for the new campaign.
Speaking after completing the move, Robinson admitted the opportunity to join 1874 Northwich was one he couldn’t turn down.
“I think it’s clear that this is a big club with high standards, which was a massive appeal to me. The support each week from the fans too, which I’ve noticed playing against the team in the past.”
Having experienced the club’s promotion-winning campaign from the opposition, Robinson knows exactly what awaits him this season.
“The club did very well to beat two rivals along the way to gaining promotion, although I wasn’t too happy about the semi-final loss at the time! I’m very excited to join the club on another Step 4 adventure and we’re not just here to take part. It’s a challenge we all welcome.”
The midfielder believes his game is well suited to the demands of the higher level and is eager to make an impact.
“I’ll bring a lot of energy and physicality across the whole pitch, which I think is even more important now we’ve made the step up.”
Finally, Robinson had a message for everyone connected with the club ahead of the new season.
“For everyone involved at the club, let’s stick together and we’ll make this a season to remember.”
