Double duty this week for 1874 Northwich who play two pre-season friendlies away at Barnton on Saturday and Bury on Tuesday.
Saturday sees an away game against our landlords Barnton FC who of course play at Townfield, for anyone unsure of how to get there the postcode is CW8 4LH for your satnavs. Admission is £5 adults; £3 concessions and kids are free. Kick off is 3pm.
Barnton have arranged a family day, with pre-match entertainment, the barbeque will be fired up and there will be a beer tent. At half time, a charity match will take place and free jam butties will be on offer!
Barnton play in the North West Counties League First Division South and finished last season in 13th place with 51 points from 38 games played.
They kicked off their pre-season programme last Saturday with a 1-0 defeat away at Wythenshawe FC, last season’s NWCFL First Division South champions.
On Tuesday 11th 1874 Northwich travel to Gigg Lane, BL9 9HR to play Bury. 7.45pm.
Tickets can be purchased in advance from their website – www.buryfc.ticketco.events or alternatively there will be cash/card pay on the turnstiles. Admission charges are: £8 adults; U16’s £2 & U5’s free.
Bury play in the North West Counties League Premier Division in which they finished 4th last season with 83 points from 42 games.
They started the pre-season programme with a 3-0 away win at Thackley (Northern Counties East) last Saturday.
