On behalf of the Club, I would like to thank 1874 supporters for the excellent response so far, I am delighted that our players and management team will be backed by very good away support.
This week has been a busy one, I have had several very friendly conversations with officials at Leighton Town, in particular with their Secretary Roy, over match arrangements and they are doing everything possible to make the day run smoothly and successfully for both sets of fans.
The club advised yesterday that, in order to help with the anticipated increased gate, match tickets will be available to purchase at our home game against Runcorn Town. I want to reiterate the message that this game is NOT all ticket and supporters will be able to pay on the day.
I would now like to confirm the following coach arrangements.
The Club has organised a coach to depart from the Memorial Court at 8.30am, for those supporters who wish to arrive in time for lunch in Leighton. Mark Riding and Alex Dickinson are the co-ordinators of this coach.
At 10am, further coaches will depart from the back of the Memorial Court (car park side) and will call at the Kingsmead shopping square at 10.10am before continuing to the M6.
I must stress that we have given assurances to the coach operator that alcohol will NOT be consumed on their vehicles and the club would ask for everyone’s co-operation in adhering to this important rule.
To assist us, we would be very grateful if supporters would pay for their coach seat in advance of the day. Club representatives will be on hand in the Wincham Park social club, before and after our match against Runcorn Town, to accept payment and to allocate each supporter with a coach number, which will help us to depart promptly. The cost is £15 and £5 for Under 11’s.
