1874 are thrilled to announce the signing of winger Harry Cain, who finished last season at Sandbach United. At training last week, Club Media Officer Matt Waters caught up with Harry.
When asked what made
him join 1874, the former Nantwich Town winger Cain said, “After last year
being a write off with injury, I want to get a good season of football under my
belt at a club like 1874.”
At training on
Thursday, Cain revealed that he would bring pace and goals to the team. He
stated, “I want to add plenty of assists and at least 15-20 goals to the side
for the coming season to help us do as well as we can.”
Cain, who featured
for Sandbach United in the First Division Challenge Cup Final, believed that
promotion has to be the main priority for the season. He added, “It has to be
our focus, 3 teams go up this season and we have to be one of them.”
After suffering from
various injuries over the last season, Cain believes it’s important for him to
have some stability in his career. He said, “I’m only young and I want to play
as high I as I can, but I’m looking forward to committing myself over the next
couple of seasons with 1874.”
