Supporters dig deep for charity

Community spirit was definatly in the air as 1874 Northwich hosted landlords Winsford Utd at the St Lukes Barton Stadium on Boxing Day.
Prior to the game supporters were offered complimentary mince pies, courtesy of the management at Sainsbury’s Northwich store and at half time the community team at 1874 Northwich arranged a bucket collection in aid of St Luke’s Cheshire Hospice and would like to thank both sets of supporters for their generosity in raising £106.77 for the hospice.
The collection for the charity is part of a substantial community link up between 1874 Northwich and St Luke’s Cheshire Hospice that has, with assistance from Winsford Utd, resulted in the stadium at Winsford being renamed as St Luke’s Barton Stadium.
A reciprocal collection by Winsford Utd at their ” home ” game later in the season, should further benefit the hospice.
