’74 vs Runcorn Linnets Match Day Information

Our last game of the season will see us welcome our friends from Runcorn Linnets to Townfield on Saturday 27th April. Our derby game takes on an even greater significance, as it will be our last Northern Premier League game before we head to new adventures next season and of course Linnets are hoping to secure the runners up spot in the League. Therefore, we expect a healthy attendance at the match, boosted by a very good following from Runcorn.  With this in mind, we would like to pass on the following information.

PARKING

Please note that there is limited parking at the ground for players and management. There is a car park adjacent to the ground at the Barnton Memorial Hall however please be aware that the Hall Committee may levy a £2 car parking charge.

Free parking is available at the library (200m from the ground, on the opposite side) and there is a larger car park at the Primary School (400m from the ground), both being on Townfield Lane. There is also free public parking behind the Co-op store at the opposite end of Townfield Lane

We would respectfully ask that supporters use the car parks and not park on the adjacent streets, as we are mindful of local residents’ access. Please be aware that Townfield Lane forms part of the important bus route through the village and we do not want the service to be impacted.

GROUND REGULATIONS

1874 Northwich would like to remind all supporters of the following very important ground regulations:

  • Supporters are not allowed to encroach onto the pitch or surrounding area before, during or after the game.
  • The following articles must not be brought within the ground – fireworks, smoke cannisters, flares, glass bottles, or any articles that are prohibited by the rules and regulations which could compromise public safety.
  • The use of threatening behaviour and/or foul or abusive language is strictly forbidden.

Any person found in possession of such items or behaving inappropriately, will be asked to leave the ground. Should supporters not adhere to these important regulations, then the clubs will be reported to the relevant authorities and sanctions will be taken against both clubs as a result.

The club would urge all supporters to arrive early, to help with the smooth entry to the ground.

Ground admission is as follows:

  • Adults – £10
  • Concession (65+) – £6
  • Junior (12-16) – £1
  • U12 – Free

We accept both cash and card payments, however our preference would be cash which would speed up entry to the ground.

Your co-operation over parking and admission arrangements would be appreciated. We look forward to another competitive game between the two fan-owned and run clubs.

Thank you!
