A message for 1874 Supporters – Macron Cup Final

The Board of 1874 Northwich knows that football is a passionate game and supporters can be completely immersed in it and have various ways of showing their support.  Positive support is hugely welcomed as it adds to a good environment on a matchday and experience for all.  However, if behaviour is less than positive and where it jeopardises the safety and enjoyment of others attending a match, it is likely to bring 1874 Northwich into disrepute and the club would face a charge.

1874 is well supported and enjoys an excellent reputation for good behaviour, both on and off the field.  However as we head into the high profile and very prestigious Macron Cup Final tomorrow, the club would like to issue a timely reminder to its supporters that anti-social behaviour, racial, discriminatory or obscene chanting, encroaching onto the field of play or having possession of a smoke bomb is unacceptable and any supporter found to be in breach of these conditions, will be excluded from the ground, and could face a ban and may be subject to criminal proceedings.

The Hallmark Security League have also announced that supporters must not bring alcohol into the ground and that there will be bag searches on entry for safety reasons.  The League and Altrincham FC reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone deemed unfit to enter the ground.

1874 has worked with the League and has agreed to provide club representatives to liaise with Altrincham Stewards, to offer advice and support to our supporters before and throughout the game.

Our supporters are at the heart of everything and we are proud of how we conduct ourselves as a football club.  We enjoy the matchdays and support our team, whatever the result.  We know that everyone from 1874 will continue to represent our wonderful club, the way in which we all expect.

Thank you and enjoy the final !
