The Board of 1874 Northwich Football Club are pleased to inform club owners and supporters that agreement has been reached with Barnton Football Club to extend the clubs current agreement to ground share at Townfield for a further 5 years.
Extending the ground share until the end of the 2026 / 2027 season gives both clubs the security required to continue the development of facilities at Townfield and offers a clear pathway in the development of 1874 Northwich FC.
A working party consisting of members of both clubs will now investigate funding opportunities in order that realistic goals can be achieved in areas such as improvements to hospitality, fan experiences and general facilities.
The club’s stated aim of securing a long term home within the Northwich area remains a priority and this agreement is a major step on that pathway. As always, myself and other Board members are available to answer any questions relating to this matter and club owners will be kept fully informed of future developments.
