First Team Manager

Rory Fallon Appointed First Team Manager

1874 Northwich Football Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Rory Fallon as the club’s new First Team Manager.

Fallon joins the club following a successful spell in charge of Wythenshawe Town, where he earned a reputation for building competitive sides and developing a dynamic, attacking style of play, winning promotion to step four in 2025.

As a player, Fallon is well known across the North West non-league scene, having represented a number of clubs including FC United of Manchester. He also enjoyed a spell with 1874 Northwich, giving him a strong connection to the club and a first-hand understanding of what it means to represent the Greens.

Speaking after his appointment, Fallon said:

“1874 is a club I’ve followed since playing here for a short period of time and when the job got offered to me then I jumped at the chance to come back. It’s always had terrific support and on a human level some really good people behind the scenes. I have a good relationship with Wayne Goodison and he always spoke very highly of his time managing the club.”

On the style of football supporters can expect to see, Fallon added:

“I like my sides to play aggressive, attacking football on the front foot. I favour high energy football which will hopefully entertain the supporters. I want my team to have players with character and spirit but above else I want to create a winning team.”

And on returning to management, he said:

“I am really delighted to be here and looking forward to the challenge ahead in a very demanding but exciting league. After a year out of managing I felt the time was right for myself personally to get back in football, I’ve missed it immensely.”

Everyone at 1874 Northwich would like to welcome Rory back to the club and wish him every success as he begins preparations for the new season. Confirmation of Rory’s backroom staff will follow in due course.
