Please find below, a helpful message from Silsden.
“Silsden FC is looking forward to your first visit to the Angel Telecom Stadium on Saturday November 8th. The ground and clubhouse are being used for a Memorial Service from 1pm, therefore we would be grateful if you would ask your supporters not to arrive before 2.15pm.
Avoiding the M62, the best route to take is the M6 and M65 to Colne. After leaving the motorway, you can proceed ahead on the first exit at the roundabout but this is often very busy. An alternate route would be take the third exit immediately after BOUNDARY MILL. At the next roundabout turn left in Colne Town Centre. Follow signs for Keighley joining the dual carriageway in Cross Hills. Silsden is signposted. Go over the bridge by the Tour de France bollards. The ground is on the left.
Parking is limited and recently we have had several drivers fined for parking offences although there are no “no parking signs”. There is parking beyond the ground. We will have stewards directing you. There is an area of land 100 metres beyond the ground which will be supervised but the club cannot be held responsible for cars parked there. Also 50 yards beyond the ground is a turning “Belton Road” with lots of space.
If you do park on the main road coming into Silsden, do not park before you are well clear of the Tour de France bollards by the bridge, beyond the 40mph sign. Only park on the playing fields side of the road. Do not park on the pavement or block the entrances to the Golf driving range or the Football Club which are needed for access by emergency vehicles.
Hopefully this information will make it easier for your supporters and to help avoid parking fines!”
We would like to thank Silsden for their guidance and we look forward to our visit. Latest details of our Away Travel service can be found on the Away Travel tab on this site and also on the Independent Forum.
