Jack Marrow Signs Up

1874 Northwich are delighted to announce the signing of central defender Jack Marrow.

Marrow, 18, recently finished his scholarship with Crewe Alexandra before joining the club this summer.

Speaking on his decision to join the club, Jack revealed he is excited to make the step up to men’s football.

He said: “I’m buzzing to be here. Whilst I was at Crewe, I didn’t get much men’s football experience so that’s something I’m looking forward to here.

“I spoke to Paul, and he said if you’re not making it into the first team then there’s the option to play on dual registration in some places and for the Under 21’s.

“I knew a few players at the club whilst I was at Crewe, and I’ve enjoyed the first few pre-season sessions with the lads, and I hope to break into the first team.

“Playing games in adult football is exactly what I need to do so I’m happy I’ve now got the opportunity to do so at 1874.

Jack will be joining players such as Mark Jones and Ryan Mitchell as our options at centre back and he added he is keen to learn off them.

“The two centre back options that the club have are very experienced and have been here a while so it’s good for me to have the opportunity to learn from them.

“From playing in an academy I have developed into a very technical player, and I believe I will only benefit from the club’s style of play and vision.

“I’m looking forward to playing for the club and I hope you all enjoy watching me.”
