October Player of the month

It is now time for 1874 supporters to choose their favourite player during October. Once again this will prove to be a difficult choice, as we have seen some excellent, committed performances from the lads during a tremendous month.

Some of the leading contenders for October include Matt Conkie, an ever present who has conceded just one goal in our 3 league games and 3 in the 2 cup games (including a stunner at Squires Gate!).

Adam Foy who is again an ever-present but in the truest sense of the word, as he has been driving and urging his team on for all our 480 minutes on the field, scoring the extra time winning goal v Hanley.

Michael Brandon – our goal scoring machine and workhorse: 7 goals in 5 games including the only goal of the game at Northwich Flixton Villa and a brace of goals in 3 other games – v Hanley; AFC Darwen and Squires Gate.

Voting slips will be available at the next two away games (NF Villa and Holker OB). Alternatively you can cast your vote by emailing [email protected] or by texting the Club on 07975 679624. When texting, please make sure that you include your own name. The closing date for email/text votes is Tuesday 12 November at 12 noon.

Voting slips will be available at the next home game, which is on Tuesday 12 November, however they will need to be placed ‘in the box’ by 7pm that evening to enable the presentation to be made before the Cheadle Town match.

This month’s award has been sponsored by Brian Edge, who has kindly agreed that all supporters who have voted for the winning player will have their names placed in a hat and one lucky fan will be drawn out and offered the chance to present the award.

It’s your team, make your vote count!
