1874 Northwich FC manager Ian Street has appointed his and the club’s first assistant manager in Lee Duckworth.
Lee has been a fantastic servant to Winsford United FC over many years and has also spent time playing at Evostik level with Newcastle Town FC and Mossley FC.
Ian said of the appointment;
“I am very pleased that Lee has agreed to come onboard and help with the day to day running of the team, Lee has put a lot of thought into what he has to offer and knowing him I am sure he will give it all 100%, he is very likeable person and knowlegable about the game and how it should be played.
I know that it wasn’t an easy decision for him to make as he is a very loyal person and owes a lot to Winsford’.
Lee will not be passing up on the playing side either and will offer his services as a player at centre back or left back as well as his assistant manager duties and that was part of the deal as he still has a lot to offer on the playing side of things.
He has a good level of coaching qualification and has spent some time in the USA doing a sports science degree.
Making history happen…
Ian”
