The Football Committee wishes to advise supporters that Manager Ian Street, will be taking a ‘back seat’ for a while due to a serious family illness. His Assistants Paul Bowyer and Stuart Tulloch will be stepping up to continue in his absence.
Ian’s mother is very poorly at the moment and needs constant care and Ian feels that he cannot give football his full attention during this very difficult period for him and his family.
He will still attend as many games as he can and will support Paul and Stuart during this period. Ian hopes that the situation changes as soon as possible, so that he can return.
The Board is completely supportive of Ian and knows that everyone associated with 1874, will wish him and his family the very best at this difficult time. We are pleased that Ian has two very able Assistants to hand over to and both Paul and Stu will receive the help and support from the Board and everyone at the club.
