1874 Northwich are thrilled to announce the signing of powerful forward Josh Oultram from NPL West side Kidsgrove Athletic on a dual registered basis.
Josh, 26, has featured regularly for ‘Grove in the early parts of this season becoming a key part of their squad, and scoring against 1874 in our 1-1 draw in pre-season.
The last few seasons have seen Josh spend his time at Sandbach United, scoring key goals and picking up numerous man of the match awards and a number of player of the month awards too.
Manager Chris Herbert was delighted to bring Josh to the club. (Josh) “is a big powerful player with plenty of pace and can play anywhere across the front line”.
He also praised the physical side of the game he brings to our attack “we now have that pace in behind defences that we have been missing” “he has a high work rate and at 6’2 will add to being a threat on set pieces”.
Josh had the following to say about joining the Greens: “I’m really happy to be on board, I’m ready to add to an already exciting team”.
“I’ve seen the support the lads get from the fans and I can’t wait to see them at their best tomorrow for the derby”.
We welcome Josh to the club and hope to see him in action tomorrow against Northwich Victoria.
