Recap
1874 came away empty handed from Seel Park last Saturday, as a well organised Mossley side took all the points. Mossley scored in the first quarter of an hour, their goal coming after a brief period of possession from 1874. Sadly, Ben Woods was substituted after 20 minutes through injury, and we wish him well for a speedy recovery. As half time approached, Matt Woolley’s fantastic through ball found Josh Quarless, he placed the ball beyond the Keeper but sadly it smashed off the bottom of the post and was cleared.
Mossley scored their second, which most people would agree came against the run of play, seven minutes into the second half. They scored their third right on time.
It was disappointing to lose, but Mossley are one of the strong sides in the League. Overall, they were better on the day and deserved the win.
